Ever dreamt of a nice wedding without paying for it?

on Thu, 04/18/2013 - 12:42

If that is one of the things you think is really cool, helping a couple out so that they can win a free wedding from Wedding Saviours. Or... are you interested in entering yourself to see whether you can win that FREE wedding??

Wedding Saviours is a group of wedding professionals and business partners who have come together to provide a Free Wedding Day for couples in need. The couple will be dedicated to the communities they serve and to the many charities within them also in need of assistance.

People who know me well might recall my involvement in community work from time to time with different organizations, such as: United Way of York Region, The Healing Cycle and Foresters, as well as various fund-raising ventures for Scouts Canada, Breast Cancer Society and local schools.

I try to give back to the community as much as I can, like hosting free workshops on entrepreneurship. As an individual, I reuse and recycle as much as I can, and try to lower my energy consumption by enrolling into the PeakSaver program  and have been planning to install solar panels on my rooftop.

As a financial advisor, I know a lot of couples who got in debt because of their weddings. I am sure getting together and start a new life should not start by a DEBT. I then connected with Wedding Saviours to consider include my service to help newly weds on budgeting and cashflow management. I think this is very thoughtful of them to put this together for people who really want to get married but are having financial difficulties.

These couples will be collecting food, getting donation or whatever pay-it-forward social activities they can think of! They will be blogging about their experiences and dropping off their donations to be counted. The winning couple will be judged based on their efforts for the food bank (50%), their blogging skills (10%) and votes (40%).

Please either enter yourself, play a part to give back to the community by donating or help the couple by voting for them later on!!
