How to apply for CEWS

Although I am not a fan of the CEWS program, I still help clients on it and answer questions whenever it is brought up.

The most asked question is, how to apply for it?

First of all, of course, you have to make sure your company is eligible for it and that your company have met the requirements as stated. 

Then, have all your payroll info on hand and the calculation for the program done.

When you are ready, log into your "My Business Account" on the CRA web site. It is loacted under the "Payroll" section.

You have to indicate which period you are applying for (one period at a time).

And then, based on the income of your employees, enter all the needed information.

And start entering those numbers you had calculated....

Once you enter all the numbers, the system will generate a summary for you and wha-la! You are done and you can have your application submitted.
